Latest Cake designs
As some may know, I am contemplating launching a cake design biz. Still looking into some of the details of this...and deciding if I really have time for it at this juncture in my life. The thing is, I REALLY enjoy it...but it is something that makes a big mess and requires attention - which is hard to do when you have a child who also makes a big mess and requires a lot of attention! HA.
Anyway...who knows what will come of it. I am having fun in the meantime and getting some practice by doing some cakes for friends and friends of friends at low rates.
Here is the one I made last weekend! It was for a 7 year old girl having a "pink flamingo" themed party.
This is the one I did for a 9 year old girl who loves to play soccer the week before.
And this is one that I am particularly proud of. I made it for my sisters birthday in March.
She loves Tweety Bird so I made the Tweety out of colorflow for her. Everything on the cake is edible.
Even if nothing comes of it as a business, I am enjoying the cake making! Hopefully I will learn a lot more about it and have some new pics to share real soon.
Next on my list of things to learn is how to work with fondant. Doesn't look too difficult...just time consuming. Such endless possibilities when working with fondant...I can hardly wait to get going!
