New Blog website
Okay...so I am going to try this whole blogging thing yet again. I have done a couple of blogs in the past..but really, I don't think I have much of a talent for this whole journaling thing. I don't really have much to say that would be of any interest to anyone - but I guess we will see if anyone reads it anyway. :)
Yesterday was such an awesome day!
We began the day by attending service at our church Allen Bible where we did the parent commissioning ceremony for our precious 9 mos old Addison Faith Breen. I had to speak and tell the significance of her name...just a short 2 min or less thing. So I did, but what came out wasn't very eloquent - not like I had in mind. But I guess the point got across so that is all that matters.
Addison was, well, her usual self. She talked (babbled) through the ENTIRE process and clapped her hands wildly from time to time as well. I heard rumblings of laughter here and there .. she just couldn't stay still or quiet. Oh my...this is my lot in life now. She is just not the sit still and quiet type of child and it shows very clearly at her tender 9mos of age. EEK! We are in for a treat over the next 18 years lol.
Anyway, after that was all finished and the service was over we came home long enough to get changed into comfy clothes (I made everyone dress in coordinating colors and dressier than usual for church since we were doing the commissioning) feed Addison and head to Macaroni Grill for lunch. YAY! This was the only thing I asked for this year. A day with my family and my favorite meal (Lobster Ravioli). They came through amazingly. It was a PERFECT mothers day.
Of course...it doesn't hurt that the day before I got a BRAND NEW CAR!!! We traded in the BMW *tears* for a family vehicle. I am now the proud owner of a 2008 Saturn Outlook.
As hard as it was to see my pretty black sedan go bye bye...I have welcomed with excitement the extra seats , leg room and DVD player for the kiddos.
Anyway, that was my Mother's Day weekend. I hope everyone else had a wonderful day as well!
