Whew, I'm back!
Well folks, I'm back from Vegas! What a trip!
I will post more about that in the coming days as I get caught up on sleep and get some pics uploaded from my camera.
In the meantime, let me just say...WHOA! I am shocked at the changes in Addison in just the few days I was gone. I was only away from Thursday to Monday and during that time she went from crawling/walking about 50/50 to ALL WALKING! She even shed some rolls off her legs while I was away! CRAZY!
Shayna made it back safe and sound from New Orleans and can't stop gushing about the trip! Very impacting and fun for the kids it sounds like. Now she is off to her dad's for 16 days and then the mad rush to get her ready for the start of school begins. She is in Cheer camp for her 8th grade squad this week and began choreography week for the competitive squad. Man...what a busy week she has ahead of her.
Meanwhile, I am missing her TERRIBLY! She went to New Orleans for a week during which time I left town and then I only got to see her for about 30 minutes before she left for cheer. As soon as she got home it was time to shuttle her quickly out the door to her dad's where she will get to see her granny for I think the first time since Addison was born if I'm not mistaken. Should be a fun but very busy few weeks for her, but I MISS HER!
Steve and my rents did a marvelous job of managing the household while I was away (what am I needed for exactly?) ;) Steve even ventured out to *gasp* the MALL with the girls one day for some hang time. You gotta know that Shayna LOVED that...and Addison tends to like that as well, she is a go, go, go baby! I could tell Addison missed me, she has been all about ME today *her new name for me is "meme" instead of "mama" we think she is trying to say "mommy" since that is what we always say. It is VERY cute!
On another note, I began a book last night that I simply could not put down. I read for two hours despite how exhausted I was! If you are in need for a GREAT book, grab THE SHACK and start reading. I haven't even gotten to the meaty parts of the book yet, but already I am loving it and finding it to be an incredibly good read. Warning though, I am 60 pages in, and I have already sobbed! It is ONE OF THOSE BOOKS!
Till later!
