Family vacay post #2

Sunday was a family day. We are blessed to have Steve's parents here as well camping in their RV and his sister Becky who drove down from Virginia for the weekend as well. His rents came to the cabin to visit us here so that Addison could get her naps in a little easier. That was awesome. She took her morning AND her afternoon naps (and a huge afternoon nap at that) without any problems. Gigi and Pops brought all the food for lunch (and there was so much that we have had it several times since then as well). We watched 8 below with them and dined together ... watched a lot of Addison and her antics since she was in such good spirits...and hung out till almost dinner time when they left and went back to the campground with Becky.

The girls did the waterpark again (they went with Dan and Lib's fam this time) and did some flirting with a few boys...one of which it turns out Shayna did not really like afterall and it backfired on her cause he was a total clingon for the rest of the night...and as luck would have it, is in the cabin that is connected to ours! YEESH! Now she practically runs every time she sees him haha.

Monday morning was our "ugh" day. Since we bought this vacation through Westgate resorts (a timeshare thingy) they wanted us to meet with them to give us their sales pitch again and try to get more of our money. Steve did not want to do this part at all. We bought the trip...he's done. I decided to go ahead and do the meeting...get it over with and all. So he took baby girl to his rents RV for one last visit with the sis, the girls slept in, and I went to the dreaded meeting.
I got a little put off almost immediately in...not because of anything the lady did, but because I knew this was going to turn into more than I wanted to invest time wise. I will post more about this meeting in a separate post. For now, suffice it to say, I was a bitch and she let me out of there fairly quickly as far as these things go. I made it back to the cabin before the teens woke up for the day and once Steve returned we went with The Fredericks to play "Hillbilly golf" which was a cute little game of mini golf set up on the side of a mountain so you ride a lift to get to the beginning point and then to get back down again. Every employee there spoke in true "hillbilly" fashion - and it was all I could do not to ask outright..."is that fake - like for the job? or do you really talk like that?"

The final event for the evening was to go on our "Ghost Tour". That was pretty cool. The guide was a little hokey...but some of the stories were believable and we actually got some pretty good pics with lots of orbs in them. I will post some of the pics and stories when we get home and get them uploaded.

Today we are off to do the aquarium, sky lift and shopping in Gatlinburg. Fun stuff! I am looking forward to the day!
