Elmo Live

I splurged on this toy for Addison this year because she just goes NUTS for it every time she sees it in Target. The first time she saw him I pushed the button and he told her he loves her and blew her two kisses.  She (for the first time ever) blew him kisses right back with a great big smile on her face.  Now every time she sees him she starts blowing kisses at him.  So cute!  

Needless to say, we HAD to get him for her.  When I got him home I waited until she was asleep then took him out of the box and Steve, Shayna and I played with it and listened to all of his stories and jokes - then I put him up in the top of my closet so she wouldn't see him.  

Well, she saw him - haha.  She looked up one day when I opened my closet door and with a HUGE smile started blowing kisses to Elmo and pointing!  AHHHH....I quickly shut the door and hoped she would forget about him.  But the next time I opened the door with her in the room, a few days later, she did it again!  Pointing and doing her "I want it" grunt that she does.  

He is now wrapped and under the tree...I can't wait to have her open that gift on Christmas day!  I hope she gets as excited still! :)

I was just at Babies R Us today with Jan and Mel, and we push the toes of Elmo, and he blew kisses. But at $50.00, it was just too expensive. Happy Holidays and Merry CHRISTmas.

Yes...I know...way to expensive...and I paid $60 - I'm a sucker. :/ But the way he makes her smile...just makes me smile...so I had to! :)

Addison, as it turns out, has a great imagination (either that or there is some television show or movie that she has watched recently that I have no idea about). Beginning last Friday we potty trained Addison (hallelujah for fast learners). She has done SO well and caught on in only a day! The funniest part of the whole thing though is how Addison has made up this whole scenario to help her with the pooping thing. Fall visit to Aroboretum

Addison and I had a great visit to the Arboretum with Ashely and her kids Grayson and Presley. I think we did more picture taking than we did playing this time...but it was a fun day and the weather was beautiful! I am looking forward to going again soon!
