Memorial Day weekend to remember

We had a great time this weekend.
My best friend Catherine had her annual Memorial Day swim party/cookout - what a blast!
I was worried to be honest. I was afraid it would be a beat down and filled with me chasing Addison around trying to keep her happy. However, one thing I have learned in the last few weeks about Addison is that she THRIVES around crowds! I mean - this child is quite the social butterfly. She normally hates pools - but yesterday I put her in her swimsuit and as soon as she saw all the kids in the pool she wanted IN! There was only ONE person she was willing to let walk around with her in the pool though and that is her trusted friend Bethany (Catherine's youngest daughter). She was perfectly content in the pool so long as Bethany was somewhere near and playing with her. Really cute! I enjoyed watching her have a good time with the kids and was thankful for Bethany being so willing to hang out with her as much as she did!

Shayna did her own thing and had a blast as usual. She was thrown in the pool - and threw a few adults in the pool as well! She had plenty of friends her age with which to hang out with and they seemed to all have a blast!

It was a great day!

love the picture of Addison standing next to the chair with the beer bottle in her 2 piece! Fast forward some years and that sippie cup with be down and the bottle will be held! haha!! Looks like you guys had fun!

Addison, as it turns out, has a great imagination (either that or there is some television show or movie that she has watched recently that I have no idea about). Beginning last Friday we potty trained Addison (hallelujah for fast learners). She has done SO well and caught on in only a day! The funniest part of the whole thing though is how Addison has made up this whole scenario to help her with the pooping thing. Fall visit to Aroboretum

Addison and I had a great visit to the Arboretum with Ashely and her kids Grayson and Presley. I think we did more picture taking than we did playing this time...but it was a fun day and the weather was beautiful! I am looking forward to going again soon!
